Many have been ruined because of gold, and their destruction has met them head-on.
Many have been brought to fall for gold, and the beauty thereof hath been their ruin.
Many people have been ruined because of money, brought face-to-face with disaster.
Many have come to ruin for the sake of gold, yet destruction lay before their very eyes;
Many have come to their downfall as the result of gold, finding themselves face to face with ruin.
Many have come to ruin because of gold, and their destruction has met them face to face.
